Our history

Cecelia Smith-Budd (Owner) and her associates have substantial backgrounds in finance. Her experience includes being a full-charge bookkeeper for over 30 years, 10 years investment experience with a Wall Street firm where she was licensed for Series 7 and 63 (Broker), and Series 24 (Mutual Funds). She was certified in 1991 by H&R Block for Individual and Small Business Tax Preparation. She is currently licensensed with Maryland Board of Individual Tax Preparers.

Our history

In 1991, Common Cents Financial Services began providing tax preparation for individuals and small businesses. At CCFS we provide a comprehensive range of accounting, tax and financial management services tailored to meet the needs of our business clients. Our clients include Individuals, Sole-Proprietorships, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies (LLC), S-Corporations, Corporations and Non-Profit organizations.

After working with small business owners at tax time and trying to compile the necessary information from the previous year I realized that there was a need to help small business owners get organized and remain organized during the course of the year.
